Home & School
The Trentham Home & School is a group of willing parents dedicated to ensuring the non-government funded “extras” are made available at school, for the benefit of students and the school community as a whole.
A lot of the work done is behind the scenes supporting school initiatives, such as awards for safe play, new classroom wet weather games, subsidising students for shows and stationery, purchasing ukeleles, etc. Past Home & School larger achievements include playground cushion-fall, sun shades for the adventure playgrounds, student netbooks and iPads, a hall sound system to name a few.
Goals are achieved primarily by fundraising, including raffles, school “special” lunches, discos, Spell or Mathathons, calendar art and a gala/fiesta. With the workload spread it does not require a great deal of your time to be involved.
We meet afterschool twice a term. Home & School meetings are relaxed, constructive and a great way to involve yourself in the school community, whilst meeting other parents/caregivers. It is not a huge commitment and new members, and new ideas, are always welcome.
If you have any questions please feel free to phone the school office who will put you in contact with someone on the Home & School.
